		Pub Trail Winner!   It’s lovely to know that Alan who’s one of The Tanners’ regulars has managed to complete the 2010 Pub Trail. Alan is seen here behind our sparkling clean cask ale pumps proudly wearing his special edition Pub Trail rugby shirt. He received this rugby shirt by drinking in at least 20 Hall & Woodhouse pubs which is an incredible feat of dedicated consumption! Well done Alan!

		Our pub garden with its large patio area is a very pleasant place to spend time in especially when it’s a sunny day. There are ample deck chairs and benches for your friends and family to get comfortable on. Plus, there’s the fun challenge of playing with our giant outdoor “Connect Four” game.

Our beautiful antique table offers you the chance to play this traditional pub game which is still widely played across the South of England and in the Channel Islands. 		Past Events at The Tanners
		4th September 2010   Old Skool Fun Night • A big thanks to everybody who came along to support this memorable charity evening. We managed to raise over £600 for Cancer Research UK which makes this our most successful charity event so far. • The evening went extremely well as customers got involved with the fun tombola and prize draw raffle. The live band Startled Hamsters even donated their fee to this very popular charity whilst Chloe, one of our local customers auctioned her favourite teddy bear by asking people around town to guess it’s name. Thanks to local newspaper The Resident for helping to promote our event.
		2nd-5th April 2010   Easter Beer Festival • Live Music everyday featuring Stuart James Band (Friday), Soul Business (Saturday) and various Open Mic artists (Monday). • A selection of award winning draught beers from these local breweries: Hepworth, Dark Star, Dorking Brewery, Langham Brewery and Arundel Brewery. • Free Entry. • All beers £2.50 a pint. • BBQ food available daily during the festival. This will help to soak up the beer! • Take away your favourite beer!
		3rd March 2010   Fundraising Coffee Morning • Well done and thanks to all those who attended our Fundraising Coffee Morning which raised over £500 for Parkinson’s Disease Society and Cancer Research. • Over 100 people attended this memorable event for good causes. Some of the donated items that could be bought as well as sold during this busy event included books, homemade cakes and bric-a-brac.
